Dr. Peterson graduated from Sterling High School in 1997. He went to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2001. In 2004, he graduated summa cum laude in his class at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. After getting his doctorate in chiropractic, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS®) in April of 2005. This specialty allows him to educate and train patients of all ages and activity levels in the areas of fitness, physical wellness and nutrition.
Dr. Peterson opened up his own clinic in Sterling, IL in June of 2005. Since then, he has been able to treat many different patients with many different conditions. During this time, he has learned the value of taking time with each patient to explain what is wrong and how chiropractic can help. It is this understanding that he believes is invaluable in the doctor-patient relationship.
When not at his office, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, Krista, and their three boys Brecken, Micah and Kaleb. He also enjoys sports and competition of all kinds ranging from tennis to water skiing and even Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a mixed martial art, which he trained in throughout his academic career.
