Dr. Erik Peterson, DC, CSCS®

 

Dr. Peterson graduated from Sterling High School in 1997.  He then went on to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2001.  After completing the necessary pre-requisites at the University of Illinois, Dr. Peterson was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He went on to graduate summa cum laude in his class of 205 doctors.  In April of 2005, he began further education and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCSŪ).  This specialty allows him to educated and train patients of all ages and activity levels in the areas of fitness, physical wellness and nutrition.  

Before moving back home to Sterling in May of 2005, he associated at Moline Chiropractic Clinic with  Dr. James Vana, the 2004 IPSCA Chiropractor of the Year.  There, he was able to treat many different patients with many different conditions.  During this time, he saw the value of taking time with each patient to explain what is wrong and how chiropractic can help.  It is this understanding that is invaluable in the doctor-patient relationship.

When not at his office, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, Krista, and their new baby boy Brecken.  He also enjoys sports and competition of all kinds ranging from water skiing, to tennis and even Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art, which he trained in throughout his academic career.
